In a bid to support those who have left the Church of Scientology, former member Aaron Smith-Levin has launched sptvfoundation.org. The nonprofit organization, primarily comprised of former Scientologists, aims to provide assistance to individuals struggling with the aftermath of leaving the controversial church.
Leaving Scientology can be a daunting and challenging process, often marked by trauma and indoctrination. The foundation understands these challenges firsthand, offering a helping hand to those in need. Whether it’s guidance, support, or financial assistance, sptvfoundation.org is dedicated to helping ex-Scientologists rebuild their lives.
“Our goal is to help everyone,” says Aaron Smith-Levin, President of the foundation. “We understand the difficulties of asking for help, especially given Scientology’s fair game tactics. That’s why confidentiality is paramount, and every application is kept strictly confidential.”
The foundation’s team consists of former Scientologists and advocates who have experienced the challenges of leaving the church. Founded in 2024, the foundation represents a diverse group of individuals affiliated with SPTV, a community of YouTubers dedicated to raising awareness about Scientology and its abuses.
“SPTV was created to empower ex-members, providing them with a platform to share their truths without fear of misrepresentation,” explains Smith-Levin. “The foundation builds on this mission, using SPTV platforms to raise funds for its programs.”
The board of the foundation includes Christi Gordon as Treasurer, Mike Brown as Secretary, and several other members who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the table. Together, they aim to make a difference in the lives of those who have left Scientology behind.
